Help Us Build The Future

A Permanent Home for Generations to Come

For over 22 years, Nuestra Casa has been a beacon of hope for immigrant families in Sunnyside and the Lower Yakima Valley. We have empowered thousands of individuals through education, citizenship assistance, and opportunities to lead, creating a stronger, more vibrant community.

Nuestra Casa, Nuestro Futuro is more than a campaign, it is a promise to our community our doors will remain open for generations to come.

With your support, we will raise $1 million over eight months to purchase and expand our current building, ensuring long-term stability and room to grow.

Owning our space protects our future, supports our growth, and deepens our roots in the neighborhood we love.

Together, we can make sure Nuestra Casa remains a permanent home for immigrant families can continue to learn, connect, and thrive.

This Giving Tuesday, your gift is essential to securing a permanent home for our work.

Supporting the Needs of a Growing Community

Growing Demand and Limited Space

Each year, more than 1,500 families come to Nuestra Casa seeking English classes, digital literacy training, citizenship support, and community resources. Demand for these programs has grown far beyond what our current rented building can accommodate. Classrooms are full, our programs have waiting lists, and limited space prevents us from expanding essential services such as legal assistance, workforce readiness, and GED preparation.

Risk of Instability

As a tenant, Nuestra Casa faces rising rental costs and the ongoing risk of displacement. This instability threatens the continuity of programs that thousands of immigrant families rely on. Renting restricts our ability to grow, renovate, or plan long-term, all of which are necessary to meet the increasing needs of the community.

Why a Permanent Home Is Essential

Securing ownership of our building ensures long-term stability for immigrant families and allows us to expand our programs in meaningful ways. With a permanent home, we can increase legal services by 50%, double job readiness programs, and serve 500+ students annually through expanded educational offerings. A dedicated, permanent facility is the only way to meet the scale of need to provide reliable support for generations to come.

Stories That Inspire: Real People, Real Impact

Immigrant and Hispanic families come to Nuestra Casa seeking a better life, a brighter future, and a chance to build opportunities for themselves and their children. They come here to learn, to find support, and to know they are not alone.

Ana’s Journey: From Learner to Leader

Ana came to Nuestra Casa seeking English classes and digital literacy skills. She built confidence, secured employment, and became a mentor for other women in the community.

“Owning Nuestra Casa means more women like me will have a safe place to grow and succeed.”

Marcos’ Path to Citizenship

With guidance from Nuestra Casa’s legal support, Marcos became a U.S. citizen and voted for the first time.

“Nuestra Casa gave me the tools to build my future. A permanent home for them means they can continue to help others like me.”

A permanent home doesn’t just expand our space; it expands what’s possible.

Safe, private support for naturalization and legal needs, giving families dignity, security, and a clear path toward citizenship.

Family-friendly program spaces that let parents learn and advance without choosing between caring for their children and pursuing their future.

Welcoming spaces for cultural events, civic engagement, and community support that keep immigrant families connected, empowered, and rooted locally.
